A few things you should probably know about me...
I believe coffee is an acceptable personality trait.
I'm a mom to three incredible humans.
Running and the gym are where I clear my head.
I'm strangely enthusiastic about 4 a.m. starts.
By day, I work in IT Operations.
My brain permanently has about 47 tabs open.
I have a thing for honey badgers. We'll get to that.
And I believe we should regularly ask ourselves: Who's wearing your crown today?
Then use your short-line StrongMomm style:
I've been divorced.
I've battled addiction.
I've walked through rehab.
I've broken promises.
I've made mistakes I'm not proud of.
I've had moments when I didn't recognise the woman looking back at me.
But those things are part of my story.
They are not my identity.
I've also rebuilt.
Loved.
Forgiven.
Been forgiven.
Started again.
Dreamed ridiculous dreams.
Raised three beautiful humans.
And learned that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is tell the truth about where you are.
For years, I thought being strong meant having everything under control.
I don't anymore.
Strong isn't pretending.
Strong isn't never crying.
Strong isn't carrying everybody else's problems while quietly falling apart yourself.
Sometimes strong is saying:
I'm struggling.
I need help.
I got that wrong.
I'm going to try again tomorrow.
StrongMomm was created because I wanted somewhere women could arrive without having to perform.
